Our relaxation massage combines a variety of techniques specifically tailored to each individuals needs. Therapeutic massage is highly effective in reducing overall stress as well as working out the everyday muscle tension that can become problematic or painful.
Deep tissue is used to treat some chronic pain conditions by stretching and releasing deep layers of the fascia and tissue. This modality is for clients who appreciate more pressure to break up adhesions and release troublesome trigger points.
Prenatal massage helps women to better adjust to the constant and sometimes dramatic changes of the body during and after pregnancy.
It helps to reduce swelling while increasing circulation, lowers stress and anxiety and often reduces the many aches and pains that come growing and delivering a little human. We use a giant pregnancy formed pillow on top of our massage table for the session or side lying if preferred.
Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. Our massage therapist incorporates a customized massage with the use of hot stones which offers enhanced benefits due to direct heat of the stones allowing the therapist access to the deeper muscle layers. Combining hot stone protocols with a full body massage provides a very healing and effective experience. The hot stones also expand blood vessels, which encourages blood flow throughout the body and often has a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation.
Addresses chronic pain, injuries, whiplash, TMJ, and concussions. In these sessions Deborah will gently release deep tensions from jaw, head, neck, spinal cord, and whole body, calming the nervous system to promote ongoing healing. This may be combined with neuromuscular massage to assist with deep tissue release. Therapeutic exercises or yoga poses may also be taught to assist with maintaining physical alignment and balance.
Whether you have pain, are preparing or reconvering from surgery, Deborah will help you learn to connect with your bodies inner wisdom to release trauma, emotional and physical pain. This session will combine energy work and guidance to answers for healing.
Deborah is trained in Usui & Holy Fire Reiki and other energy healing modalities to facilitate healing by releasing blocked energy that cause emotional and physical pain and rebalancing your energetic system. This holistic healing modality facilitates sleep, a sense of calmness and wellbeing, reduced pain and anxiety, and feeling more balanced and centered. Deborah has 20 years of experience as a Reiki practitioner, working at places such as Brigham and Women's Oncology Unit, wellness centers, hospice, and training others to provide Reiki in hospice care.
Find inner calmness and empowerment with Deborah by learning meditation/guided visualtion and tools to cope with pain and/or stress. Sensory integration techniques may also be taught and used to calm anxiety, ADHD, and pain.
In advance of your first Ayurvedic consultation you will take a questionnaire that will help determine your unique dosha.
